Code Compliance, Firebox Selection, and Seismic Requirements: These installation instructions are intended as a general guide and do not supersede applicable building codes or the conditions of use contained in the applicable ICC-ES Evaluation Report. Where a fire-resistance-rated assembly is required, the appropriate approved firebox and installation configuration shall be selected in accordance with the applicable ICC-ES Evaluation Report. Seismic applications shall also comply with the requirements, limitations, and conditions of use identified in the applicable ICC-ES Evaluation Report. The designer of record and installer are responsible for verifying that the selected installation is suitable for the project conditions and complies with the ICC-ES Evaluation Report, the adopted building code, and the requirements of the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).
